About

Drift Notes is a continuously evolving project that revolves around the art of traveling and the use of outdoor provisions. It is inspired by landscape, mountains, rivers and some the latest technologies that help us conquer our next outdoor adventure. The Scout motto is Be Prepared. It's important to remember this and equip ourselves with the necessary things we need to make each subsequent expedition unforgettable and legendary in our own minds.

Drift Notes was created by Paul Rockwood jr., a jack-of-all-trades, outdoorsman, fisherman, camping enthusiast, former river guide and passionate wanderer.

P.J. grew up camping on the Frio River in southwest Texas where the Pachal Native Americans once roamed. It is these stomping grounds where his love for camping and fishing and respect for the natives originated. A Texas transplant and now resident of Telluride, Colorado which is located in native Ute territory of the Uncompahgre Wilderness, is where he lives to cultivate his love for the outdoors. On any given day you might find Paul jr mastering the art of fly fishing, mountain biking, hiking, snowboarding, rock climbing or mountaineering.

The Warrior plunges unhesitatingly into the river of passions always flowing through his life
